Wide Application of Sodium Tartrate
Sodium Tartrate is colorless or white crystal powder, easily
soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol. Sodium Tartrate (Na2C4H4O6) is used as an emulsifier and
a binding agent in food products such as jellies, margarine, and sausage casings. As a food
additive, it is known by the E number E335It occurs naturally in many plants, particularly
grapes and tamarinds.These salts include Calcium Tartrate, Potassium
Tartrate, Potassium Sodium Tartrate and Disodium Tartrate.
Sodium Tartrate can act as emulsifying salts, antioxidants and antioxidant synergist. With the
combination of tartaric acid, Sodium Tartrate can make the soft sour. The product can also used
in grease, jam, jelly, artificial cream, meat products and sausage. In addition, Sodium Tartrate
